The Clandestine Marriage (2000)
Based on David Garrick and George Coleman's witty Restoration comedy about the intended marriage of an impoverished country aristocrat, who is all class and no money; to the daughter of a city family - all new money and no class, the observations are as sharply relevant today, as they were then. But the young couple, who marry in secret, upset both family's plans, causing a surprising turnaround, which has hilarious results.
